The updated list means you can still send kids to school, if the only symptom they have is a runny nose.
ONTARIO - A runny nose will not keep kids from attending school this year in Ontario.
The Province has released an updated list of symptoms you can and cannot attend school with. Runny nose had always been a contentious one, as some kids can have a runny nose for months on end.
The updated online COVID-19 screening tool in Ontario now lists the following symptoms for kids to stay home:
- Fever,
- Chills,
- Cough or barking cough,
- Shortness of breath,
- Loss of taste or smell,
- Nausea,
- Vomiting,
- Diarrhea,
Children with those symptoms will be told to stay home and isolate and get tested for COVID-19.
