Operation Sharing is set to celebrate three decades in Oxford County. The organization has grown from a drop-in centre 30-years ago, to an organization with 15 programs, including the innovative Food for Friends, and the Inn Out of the Cold homeless shelter. "I suppose in a sense we had hoped we wouldn't still need to be around, but the reality is that we are, and we're glad that we've been around. 30-years of being a caring community and we've learnt a lot, and I guess you'd say we've still got a lot more to learn," said Marg Murray, Chair of the 30th Anniversary Committee. On Wednesday, they're holding a celebration at College Ave. United Church from 11:30am-1:30pm. Reverend Austin Snyder will be speaking. He was one of the original voices behind the disadvantaged when Operation Sharing began in 1982.
