OPP Briefs

Briefs include an Ingersoll resident who caught someone trying to steal their licence plate, three vehicles at home home broken into in Tillsonburg and $17,000 in tools taken from a trailer in Blandford-Blenheim.

INGERSOLL - A homeowner in Ingersoll confronted a suspicious person on Thursday morning.

Police were called to Albert Street after the resident noticed the vehicle parked in their driveway. They took down the licence plate, which turned out to have been stolen from a neighbours vehicle. 

The OPP is encouraging all community residents to report suspicious behaviour by immediately contacting police at 1-888-310-122 or 9-1-1 if a crime is in progress.

TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP are investigating after three vehicles were entered at the same address on Denrich Avenue in Tillsonburg overnight on Wednesday.

Stolen was cash, vaping supplies, booster cables and a black and red Eliminator power inverter. 

Tips to prevent you from becoming a target:

- Always secure your vehicle doors when parking your vehicle, even if you are only going to be a few minutes.
- Remove valuables from your vehicle. If you can't, then keep them from plain view.
- Park in well lighted areas with high traffic.
- Clean out your garage and park your vehicle in it - locking your vehicle and the garage door.

BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Oxford OPP are investigating after around $17,000 in tools were stolen from a trailer in Blandford-Blenheim.

Force was used to get inside the trailer that was parked on Oxford Road 8 overnight Wednesday. 

The tools consisted of circular saws, hammer drills, concrete vibrator, sump pumps, impact wrenches, electric pumps, rotating lasers and generators.
