OPP Briefs

Briefs include a paper towel thief in Burford, a suspicious vehicle fire and a Stratford man arrested on several outstanding warrants.

BURFORD - A self absorbed thief wasn't seeking a huge Bounty when he broke into the storage shed at the Burford Foodland. 

Police say the only thing missing in the theft was bout $100 dollars worth of paper towel. The break and enter happened late Tuesday night.

WEST PERTH - Perth County OPP were able to arrest a wanted man from Stratford after pulling over a suspicious vehicle on Perth Line 32. 

37 year old Clint Kerr was inside the car and was arrested on the strength of several outstanding arrest warrants from three local detachments. 

The passenger in the car, a man from Goderich was charged with trespassing and released at the scene.

WEST PERTH - An abandoned vehicle was set on fire on Perth Road 150. 

Police say the fire happened early in the morning on Saturday. Nobody was injured and an investigation is ongoing.
