Drivers are asked to remember to be extra cautious in the coming weeks as kids get set to head back to school for the first time since March.
The Ontario Provincial Police are reminding everyone that kids are going back to school soon, so drivers need to pay attention to school zones and watch for sudden bus stops.
Parents are also being asked to talk with their children about being safe when travelling to and from school.
O-P-P say pedestrians should stay on sidewalks and, where there are none - they should be walking on the left side of the road as far off onto the shoulder as possible, facing traffic.
Officers suggest using all crosswalks to get safely across the streets.
O-P-P also remind drivers that the traffic volume will increase, and your commute time may be affected by the bus routes.
