Outbreak Declared at Tillsonburg Memorial Hospital

3 patients and 2 staff members at the hospital have tested positive for COVID-19. SWPH also reporting 17 new cases this morning and 26 resolved cases, bringing our active case count down to 117.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 17 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 26 resolved cases.

The active case count for SWPH region is 117 and you can find the complete break down below;

Tillsonburg - 27

Woodstock - 26

Norwich Township - 8

East Zorra-Tavistock - 5

Ingersoll - 5

South-West Oxford - 2

Blandford-Blenheim - 2

St. Thomas - 27

Aylmer - 5

Bayham - 4

Central Elgin - 2

Dutton-Dunwich - 2

West Elgin - 2

13 people are currently being treated for the virus at the hospital and 5 of those patients are in the ICU. This data only reflects SWPH patients and is not an indicator of our local hospital capacity. It is a reflection of how many people locally had a sever enough illness from COVID-19 to end up in the hospital or ICU. 

An Outbreak has been declared at the Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock and the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. 

Caressant Care has 3 residents and 5 staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19, meanwhile 3 residents and 2 staff members at the hospital have tested positive.
