The list includes 938 speeding charges, 52 charges for not wearing a seatbelt, and 47 charges for failing to abide by the Move Over law.
SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO - It was a busy Civic Holiday long weekend for the West Region OPP.
Officers laid over 1,600 charges under the Highway Traffic Act and 938 of them were for speeding.
Fifty-two people were caught not wearing their seatbelts and 47 drivers failed to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles. Thirty-nine people were charged with impaired driving and nine drivers were charged with distracted driving.
