Oxford Women in Networking hosted its International Women's Day event at South Gate Centre last night with about 130 people in attendance.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford Women in Networking celebrated International Women's Day a day early year.
About 130 people packed the South Gate Centre for the networking event last night including local business owners, young entrepreneurs, and students.
The theme of International Women's Day this year is Embrace Equity and OWIN President Liz Badley says they did just that.
"We're celebrating International Women's Day that's taking place this week and this year's theme is Embracing Equity. As you will see tonight there are lots of themes here, we've got the Pride Committee here and we've got students here. It's just really embracing equity."
She says OWIN is all about women supporting women.
"When it comes to Oxford Women in Networking, we're always looking to grow our network. It isn't just business owners that are part of our network, It's just women that want to come together, embrace each other, learn, and empower each other."
Last night's event included a delicious meal and a presentation from motivational speaker Ella Bates.
