Oxford- Oxford Attack players got a chance to learn from the pro's with a special practice with the London Lightning.
150 players got a chance to take part in the two practices conducted by Lightning coach Kyle Julius and Lightning Players, Akeem Scott and Taylor Black. They held two practices for the elementary aged kids and one for the high school players on the Attack. Sponsorship and Fundraising Coordinator Shannon Roberts tells Heart FM the kids had a great time at their private practice.
"They got incredible attention from them, it was a great opportunity to get some one on one tips and they challenged the older boys and I think the younger ones were kind of in awe, they got autographs at the end of the session and be able to run drills and get tips from someone from the NBL was pretty awesome."
Roberts says the Lightning players seemed to enjoy themselves as well.
"We were fortunate enough to have coach Kyle Julius come out and run the event, he did an excellent job of really relating to both age groups, the older age group had a player come, his name was Akeem and he is actually a motivational speaker as well."
The Attack players attended a couple of Lightning games as well this year.
