The Oxford County Waste Management Facility on Salford Road will be closed tomorrow to allow for the installation of a new scale and scale house.
SALFORD - Just a heads up if you're planning on going to the dump this weekend.
Oxford County's Waste Management Facility will be closed on Saturday January 14th, so crews can install the new scale and scale house. The County weighs all of the vehicles going in and out of the Salford Road property so they can apply a tipping fee for those who are not eligible for free waste diversion programs and recycling.
All of the vehicles used to be weighed on one scale in the past. The addition of a second scale means they will be able to improve traffic flow with two lanes and reduce wait times.
The facility will reopen to the public on Monday January 16th.
