Oxford OPP have made an arrest, which has gotten a wanted man off the streets. Officers took the suspect into custody on Saturday, September 2nd at 1:05 a.m. on Broadway in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - A wanted man has been arrested in Tillsonburg.
Oxford OPP were on patrol on Broadway in the early morning hours on Saturday, September 2nd, when they noticed a vehicle with a passenger that was known to police.
Officers conducted a traffic stop, which resulted in the suspect being arrested. Once the accused was taken into custody, illicit drugs and an imitation firearm were seized.
26-year-old Wilson Torres of Toronto is now facing charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possesstion of Imitiation Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Failure to Comply with a Release Order - Other Than to Attend Court. He is also facing multiple drug charges including, four counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Schedule I Substance, and Possession of a Schedule III Substance.
He remains in custody, and will answer to his charges in a Woodstock Courtroom at a later date.
