Oxford OPP Briefs - Wednesday October 12

Oxford OPP briefs include a case of mischief, stolen ATVs and impaired driving.

NORWICH - The Oxford OPP is looking for witnesses after a case of mischief in Norwich.

Police say someone damaged the siding, window, and windowpane of a home on Stover Street at around 10:00 p.m. on Friday.

The culprits were last spotted heading south in a dark-coloured pickup truck, and officers are reviewing surveillance footage in hopes of identifying them.

ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Two ATVs have been reported stolen after a couple of residential garage break-ins in Zorra Township.

Both of the detached garages are located on Commissioner Street and police the break-ins happened sometime between Wednesday October 5th and Friday October 7th. 

According to the Oxford OPP, the culprit got away with a beige Suzuki ATV in the 2015 model year, a red Honda STV in the 2003 model year, power tools, and hunting equipment.

ZORRA TOWNSHIP - A 26-year-old driver from Ingersoll is facing a list of charges after being pulled over in Zorra Township.

The Oxford OPP stopped her on Road 68 at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Officers had reason to believe that she had been drinking alcohol, so she was taken into custody for testing.

She has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, driving while under suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and using a plate not authorized for a vehicle.

SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - Charges have been laid after the Oxford OPP pulled over a vehicle on Plank Line in South-West Oxford.
Officer stopped the vehicle for a violation at around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. 

After speaking with the driver, officers had reason to believe that they had been using drugs. The 48-year-old man from Norfolk County has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while prohibited under the criminal code and driving while under suspension.
