Powerline Road in Brant county was closed down for several hours overnight while police investigated the death of a male pedestrian.
BRANT COUNTY - Tragedy on train tracks last night in Brant County.
A Via Rail Passenger Train carrying 309 people was stopped along Powerline Road last night, after it hit a male pedestrian.
Police say the incident happened around 9:17 p.m. where they closed a section of Karek Road and McMillian Road for the investigation for several hours. It has since re-opened.
The male suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
