Oxford OPP say a pedestrian wearing dark clothing was hit last night on County Road 55. Two people were walking on the roadway near Highway 2, when a vehicle struck one of the pedestrians. That person was taken to Woodstock Hospital and transferred to London with non-life threatening injuries. Police are using the case to remind the public to wear bright clothing when walking at night, and walk off the roadway where possible. That was the second collision on the same roadway on Tuesday. A driver had to be airlifted to hospital after colliding with a transport truck. That person is said to be in serious condition.
