It may not be an ideal weekend to camp, but Pittock Conservation Area is now open. It opened at 8 o'clock this morning, along with Wildwood in St. Mary's and Fanshawe in London. They're operated by the Upper Thames Conservation Authority. Pittock features 250 campsites, 2kms of hiking trails, a splash pad, and sports equipment rentals, including canoes to go out on the lake. Several events are taking place at Pittock this year: May 15-18: Oxford Children?s Water Festival May 26-27: Multi Sport Canada Woodstock Triathlon August 11: Woodstock Rotary Dragon Boat Festival October 7: Woodstock Memorial Forest Dedication
