Three Woodstock Navy Vets players will be hitting the ice in this Saturday's PJHL Prospects Day in New Hamburg.
WOODSTOCK - Three Woodstock Navy Vets players have been invited to New Hamburg to show off their skills in the PJHL Prospects Day.
Gabriel Costantini, Cameron Barker, and Reid Campbell will be in New Hamburg this Saturday. Costantini being the leading point contributor in rookies this season with 5. Campbell is right behind him 4 and Barker with 3.
General Manager Rob Inscoe says this is a big opportunity for them.
"Each of them wants to move up, I mean they want to play Junior B, or Junior A hockey. Our job is to get them there and this is a chance for them to really show the scouts in the audience what their made of."
Inscoe says the team has made an impressive turn around from the slow start.
"They have all been very well, we are really happy with their play as of late. They're getting use to the tempo, the system and the rest of their teammates which is a big learning curve for them."
The top 16 and 17 year olds in each of the eight divisions will play against each other over four games at the Wilmont Centre
The schedule is as follows;
- Tod Division vs Yeck Division at 10:30 a.m.
- Orr Division vs Stobbs Division at 11:30 a.m.
- Doherty Division vs Pollock Division at 1 p.m.
- Carruthers Divison vs Bloomfield Division at 2 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the door.
