The Woodstock Navy Vets became the second team in PJHL history to have a regular season attendance record of over 14,000.
PJHL - The Woodstock Navy Vets have made history.
Over 870 people witnessed their season-ending 4-0 win over the Tavistock Braves at Southwood Arena on Friday. This pushed their attendance record over 14,000 for the regular season, making them only the second team in PJHL history to do so.
Meanwhile, the Braves bounced back with a 4-2 victory over the Wellesley Applejacks on Saturday. The Norwich Merchants crushed the Applejacks 6-1 on Friday and beat the Paris Titans 5-3 on Saturday.
The New Hamburg Firebirds are the regular season champions of the Doherty Division with 68 points. They're followed by the Navy Vets with 65 points, the Brave with 49 points, and the Merchants with 44 points. The Applejacks finished in fifth place with 39 points, while the Shamrocks finished in sixth place with 26 points, and the Titans were in seventh place with 19 points.
This means the Navy Vets will take on the Titans in round one of the playoffs, while the Merchants face the Applejacks and the Braves Battle the Shamrocks
Looking at the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans celebrated a 5-4 overtime win over the Lucan Irish on Friday, finishing the regular season on top of the division standings with 61 points. They will now face the Irish in the first round of the playoffs.
