The Navy Vets are tied with the Applejacks, and the Trojans are tied with the Sailors and the Hawks.
PJHL - It was a mixed weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets
They beat the Norwich Merchants 3-1 on Friday with Owen Ireton, Cooper Vickerman, and Rhylan Warford scoring for Woodstock. However, the Vets did suffer a 2-1 loss to the Hespeler Shamrocks yesterday. The game went to 12 rounds in a shootout with Cooper Vickerman scoring for the Vets at one point. Tyler Bouck made 29 saves for Woodstock when all was said and done.
The Tavistock Braves doubled the Paris Titans 6-3 on Friday, after celebrating a 4-2 victory over the Wellesley Applejacks on Wednesday.
The Navy Vets are currently tied with the Applejacks for first place in the Doherty Division standings with 26 points each. Tavistock is only one point behind them with 25 points, followed by the New Hamburg Firebirds with 22 points, the Merchants with 18 points, and the Shamrocks with 17 points. The Titans sit in sixth place with 14 points, only one point ahead of the last place Dorchester Dolphins with 13 points.
Over in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans suffered two losses over the weekend, 8-3 to Mount Brydges on Friday and 5-4 to Port Stanley on Saturday.
The Trojans are currently in a three-way tie with the Port Stanley Sailors and the Exeter Hawks for first place in the division standings. They each have 23 points, two ahead of the second place Aylmer Spitfires.
