The Norwich Merchants celebrated two wins over the weekend. They crushed the Tavistock Braves 4-1 on Friday and celebrated a 3-2 overtime win over the New Hamburg Firebirds yesterday.

The Merchants celebrated a 4-1 win over the Tavistock Braves at Nor-Del Arena Friday night. They also beat the New Hamburg Firebirds 3-2 in overtime yesterday afternoon, also in Norwich.
Meanwhile, the Braves crushed the Woodstock Navy Vets at Southwood Arena Friday night with a final score of 5-1. Davin Gray scored the only goal for the Vets and Graeme Noye finished the night with 32 saves.
The Firebirds are currently leading the Doherty Division standings with 58 points. They're followed by Wellesley Applejacks with 52 points, the Merchants with 47 points, the Braves with 40 points, the Navy Vets with 33 points, the Hespeler Shamrocks with 14 points, and the Paris Mounties with 12 points.
In the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans were supposed to visit the Exeter Hawks Friday night but that game was postponed due to the weather.
Thamesford is currently sitting in third place in the Yeck Division standings with 45 points. They're behind the Mount Brydges Bulldogs with 48 points and the North Middlesex Stars with 50 points.
