The Woodstock Navy Vets are currently sitting in fifth place in the Doherty Division standings after suffering a 5-3 loss to the Tavistock Braves on Friday.
PJHL - It was a busy weekend in local Junior C hockey action.
The Woodstock Navy Vets only had one game this weekend, where they suffered a 5-3 loss to the Braves in Tavistock on Friday. Davin Gray, Nolan Brett, and Eric Tuori scored goals for the Vets and Graeme Noye finished the night with 23 saves.
The Braves faced the Applejacks in Wellesley on Saturday, where they lost 6-3.
The Norwich Merchants beat the Firebirds in New Hamburg 2-1 on Friday and celebrated a 3-2 win over the Shamrocks in Hespeler yesterday.
The Firebirds are currently leading the Doherty Division with 48 points. They're followed by the Applejacks with 44 points, the Merchants with 35 points, the Braves with 33 points, the Vets with 25 points, the Shamrocks with 10 points, and the Paris Mounties with 5 points.
In the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans suffered a 4-3 loss to the Exeter Hawks on Friday. The Trojans are currently sitting in second place in the division standings with 39 points. The Essex 73s are currently in first place with 51 points.
