The Woodstock Navy Vets fell to the Norwich Merchants 6-4 on Friday and suffered a 6-1 loss to the Wellesley Applejacks on Saturday.
PJHL - It was a rough weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets.
They fell to the Norwich Merchants 6-4 on Friday, with Ethan Szabo, Davin Gray, Jacob McMullen, and Jake Phelan scoring goals for Woodstock. The Vets also suffered a 6-1 loss to the Wellesley Applejacks on Saturday and Nolan Brett scored the only Vets goal in that game.
Meanwhile, the Tavistock Braves beat the Hespeler Shamrocks 5-3 on Friday and tied the Paris Mounties 4-4 on Saturday.
The Braves are currently sitting in third place in the Doherty Division with a total of 26 points. The Norwich Merchants are sitting in fourth place with 21 points and the Woodstock Navy Vets are in fifth place with 16 points. The New Hamburg Firebirds are currently leading the division with 34 points and they're followed by the Wellesley Applejacks with 28 points.
In the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans fell to the Exeter Hawks 2-1 on Friday, but celebrated a 4-3 win over the Mount Brydges Bulldogs yesterday. Thamesford is currently leading the division with 29 points.
