PLATTSVILLE - A couple from Plattsville is $500,000 richer after winning the Daily Grand Bonus Draw from OLG.
Christiaan Grotenhuis and Abbegail Goddard actually won the $25,000 cash for life draw, and opted for the lump sum payment of $500,000. Grotenhuis is a 51 year old construction worker who discovered the win after stopping to check his ticket on the way home from work.
“The terminal said ‘Big Winner, when I got home, we checked it again . . . multiple times – we were in disbelief!”
Abbegail, a 32-year old accounting employee, and Christiaan plan on paying off their mortgage and some bills, travelling more and splurging on their five children.
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Trafalgar Road in Hornby.
