The Oxford County Injury Prevention Team has the perfect event for parents and kids during the Christmas Break.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford County Injury Prevention Team is hosting three Touch a Plow events and free skates in the New Year during the Christmas Break.
This year they will be doing the events in Thamesford on January 3rd from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, Norwich on January 4th from 1pm to 2pm and Tavistock on January 5th from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
Public Health Nurse Meagan Lichti says they will be fun for the whole family.
"It gives parents and children a chance to sit up in a plow, see the road from their view and understand a little better about blind spots. It also gives parents a chance to talk to a plow driver and ask them any questions."
Lichti says last year's Touch a Plow events were a hit.
"Last year is the first year that we hosted them; we were in Woodstock, Tillsonburg and Ingersoll. We got really great feedback from the public and from the plow drivers; they like the opportunity to interact with the public."
Each event will take place at a local arena.
