Includes Impaired driver from Norwich, Break in at daycare in Scotland and a stolen trailer near Stratford.

NORWICH - A 28 year old man from Norwich Township is facing impaired driving charges after police stopped him on Ayr Road.

Brant County OPP say they pulled over the vehicle at 12:45 a.m. for a traffic violation. While the vehicle was stopped the officer detected that the man had been drinking. Police charged him with a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to the charge.

 

SCOTLAND - Brant OPP are asking for the public's help after a break in at the Just Moms and Kids Children's centre in Scotland.

Police say the break in happened at the daycare at 51 Simcoe Street in Scotland sometime over the weekend. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects for this break and enter. If you were in Scotland over the weekend and saw anything suspicious near 51 Simcoe Street please contact the County of Brant OPP Criminal Investigations Unit.


STRATFORD - A trailer has been stolen from a driveway at a home on Hwy 7/8 between Stratford and Shakespeare.

Perth OPP say the trailer was taken sometime during the day last Friday. The trailer is a black Canada 2009 flatbed 20 foot tandem axle trailer.

The Perth County OPP is reminding residents to watch out for suspicious people, vehicles or activity along your roadway or in your neighbourhood. Get a description, and call the police immediately if something doesn’t seem right.  Don’t delay; your information may help solve a crime.

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information about theft or whereabouts of this stolen trailer to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
