Police Briefs

Briefs include, 28 people getting charged with various traffic offences over the weekend in Stratford and a stolen pickup truck in Perth East.

STRATFORD - Stratford Police were busy with traffic enforcement over the weekend. 

They handed out 28 charges and issued 11 warnings for various offences, including speeding, fail to surrender drivers licence and driving without a licence. 

The summer season is typically the most dangerous time of the year on our roadways. The Stratford Police Service would like to encourage all drivers to slow down, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you, and be patient with other drivers using
the roadway. Be safe, and take the time to enjoy the journey to your destination!

PERTH EAST - Perth County OPP are investigating after a truck was stolen from a rural home on Line 29 near Road 110. 

The truck was taken early in the morning on Saturday. The stolen vehicle is described as a grey coloured, 2002, GMC 2500 pickup truck with licence plate 484 5FS.

Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Perth County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
