Police have released the identity of the 17 month-old girl who was tragically killed in a crash near Kitchener Saturday night. Angelina Zhu of Stratford was in the backseat of the family's Volkswagen Jetta that had broke down on highway 7/8 when a cube van being driven by 53-year-old Hugh Brake of Kitchener slammed into the rear of the car. Police say Angelina was pronounced dead at Hamilton General Hospital Saturday night. Her mother remains in hospital in Hamilton; her condition has been upgraded from critical to serious. The father was treated for minor injuries Saturday and released. Brake was arrested at the scene of the crash and is currently facing 8 charges in total including Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle - Causing Death and Bodily Harm as well as Impaired Driving Causing Death.
