OXFORD COUNTY - Police have arrested a 33 year old man from Brampton after a stolen three-axle commercial vehicle was spotted on the 401 on Sunday night.
Officers from Oxford, Middlesex and London followed the vehicle for awhile, before setting up a spike belt. The vehicle continually failed to stop for police and eventually lost a front tire after striking one of the spike belts. The vehicle entered into the ditch area near Dorchester Road where officers arrested a fleeing driver.
Sandeep Takhar was eventually arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, flight from a peace office, and two counts of dangerous driving.
The accused was held for a bail hearing on today's date at the Ontario Court of Justice Woodstock.
