Expecting mothers are now eligible to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in Ontario.
ONTARIO - Pregnant women can now book an appointment to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in Ontario.
The Ford Government says this is in response to emerging data that shows an increased risk of severe illness for those who are expecting. Pregnancy is now listed as a high risk health condition under Phase 2 of prioritization guidance.
The pregnant individual may be asked to provide verbal confirmation that they consulted with their doctor or another health care provider familiar with their pregnancy before they get the shot.
You can find more information regarding COVID-19 vaccine eligibility within the Southwestern Public Health region online here. You can book your vaccination appointment online or by calling 1-888-333-2175.
