"I looked like a sheepdog, so we literally got some dog clippers and I got it on video to prove it."
ONTARIO - The Internet was buzzing over the weekend after Premier Doug Ford got a haircut, despite barber shops and salons being closed due to the lockdown.
Ford was asked about his fresh new cut today.
"I looked like a sheepdog, so we literally got some dog clippers and I got it on video to prove it, but my daughter who lives at home, never cut anyone's hair in her entire life, I just sat in the chair and said honey go to town. We couldn't even figure out how to use these clippers and I grabbed them and zinged half my head, so I am half bald on one side and that's what happened."
Ford says his heart breaks for the barbers and hairstylists who have been shut down forever.
"I am going to do everything I can to get you back open and I promise you it will be the last time I do an at home haircut, as much as my daughter did an incredible job. I'm going back to the barber and I encourage everyone to support them when we do open back up. These people have been hurting so much, as much as anyone, so please just go out, when we get open go out and get a haircut, get your hair styled and everything."
Ford says he lost 5 pounds when she chopped the hair off.
"And god knows I got about 60 more pounds to go."
Many people had commented online about the new haircut.
