Restrictions include closing golf courses, playgrounds, soccer fields, basketball courts, halting all non essential construction projects and outdoor gatherings are limited to members of your household only.
ONTARIO - Premier Doug Ford is extending the stay at home order and emergency declaration for another 2 weeks.
He announced strict new measures today which include the following:
- Outdoor gatherings are limited to only members of your household. If you live alone you can team up with one other household.
- Golf courses must close until further notice.
- All outdoor amenities including soccer fields, basketball courts and playgrounds will be closed.
- Places of worship will be limited to a maximum of 10 people
- The Province will start putting check points at all inter provincial borders.
- All non essential construction projects will be halted. Only essential construction will be permitted to operate.
- Supermarkets, pharmacies and other essential retail locations that allow in person shopping will be capped at 25 percent.
- Weddings and funerals will be capped at a maximum of 10 people starting on Saturday at 12:01 am.
- New enforcement measures which include the ability for police to randomly stop someone on the street or pull over a car to ask you why you are not at your home and where your home is. Failure to comply with police will result in a $750 ticket.
The Province is not implementing a curfew at this time and daycares will be allowed to stay open.
