A Woodstock man is back in court today as he faces second degree murder charges in the death of Jerry 'Jed' Klassen
The pretrial has started for a Woodstock man accused of murder.
Flavius Miron is facing a charge of second degree murder in the death of 48 year old Jerry 'Jed' Klassen who was found dead in his home on Tecumseh Street on July 13th. The charges were upgraded from manslaughter back in February.
The court is currently going over all evidence in the case to see if it's fit for trial, and this phase is expected to take at least 4 days.
Family and friends of Klassen have been diligently following the case, appearing at the courthouse with shirts emblazoned with the slogan 'Justice for Jed.'
Heart FM has a reporter at the courthouse, and will update this story as it develops.
Update 11:04
As this case is under a publication ban, updates will not be available at this time. This phase of pretrial is expected to wrap up next week. The conditions for trail will be set during that time.
