The Province announced today they will amend the regulations to allow splash pads to open on Saturday with other outdoor amenities.
Splash pads will now be allowed to open on Saturday with other outdoor amenities.
Originally Splash pads were slated to open in step 1 of the reopening plan on the week of June 14th. The Province just announced they have changed that decision and amended the regulations so that splash pads and spray pads can open with other outdoor amenities.
This news just came down, late on a Friday afternoon before the long weekend. It's not immediately clear if local cities and towns will be able to get them open in time for this Saturday.
The scorching hot temperatures for this weekend also factored into the decision.
