Daily case numbers are back under 200 with 164 confirmed today in Ontario and 168 on the holiday Monday.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 164 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 168 cases from yesterday, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 550,986.
One additional COVID-19 related death was recorded today, meaning the total number of deaths now sits at 9,349. Another 148 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 539,920.
The province completed nearly11,000 tests yesterday. We currently have 71 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 106 people in the ICU and 78 in the ICU on a ventilator. The majority of the cases are coming from hot spot regions with 45 new cases in the Toronto, 23 in York Region and 22 in Peel Region.
