Province Confirms 189 New Cases of COVID-19 This Morning

The Province of Ontario confirmed 189 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and another 10 deaths. Meanwhile the amount of people in the hospital from the virus continues a downward trend and is currently at 270.

ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 189 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.6% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 34,205.  

The Province also confirmed another 10 deaths bringing the total to 2,641 and 1,683 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 192 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 29,528.  

5,436 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 2,258 cases are from health care workers. 

We currently have 270 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 69 are in the ICU and 47 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 27,511 tests yesterday.
