Ontario is reporting 3,480 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, 4,517 resolved cases and 24 new deaths.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 3,480 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 408,765. The case counts for some public health units in the Central West Region may be higher today due to a data catch-up process.
The Province confirmed 24 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 7,988. Another 4,517 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 408,765.
The province completed 50,194 tests yesterday. We currently have 2,281 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 877 people in the ICU and 605 in the ICU on a ventilator. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 961 new cases in Toronto, 589 in Peel, 341 in Niagara and 290 in York Region.
