Ontario is reporting more resolved cases than new cases this morning. Over 2,200 people are in the hospital with COVID-19 with 877 in the ICU.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 3,510 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 448,861.
The Province confirmed 24 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 7,935. Another 4,698 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 387,712.
The province completed 33,822 tests yesterday. We currently have 2,271 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 877 people in the ICU and 605 in the ICU on a ventilator. The hospital numbers are low, as nearly 10 percent of hospitals did not report their numbers over the weekend. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 1,015 new cases in Toronto, 909 in Peel, 391 in York Region, 244 in Durham and 206 in Ottawa.
