The Province of Ontario set another new daily high with 4,249 cases recorded today and 2,738 recoveries. The numbers from today are inflated by 450 additional cases from earlier this week that were not recorded.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 4,249 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 208,394.
The numbers today include 450 additional cases from January 5th and 6th that were missed due to a data upload delay from Toronto Public Health.
The province also confirmed another 26 COVID-19 related deaths today, bringing the total to 4,882. Meanwhile another 2,738 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 175,309.
The province completed 71,481 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,446 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 369 people in the ICU and 250 in the ICU on a ventilator.
