The daily case numbers are over 4,000 once again in Ontario after a record setting weekend.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 4,401 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 391,009. The Province set a new daily case count record on Sunday with 4,456 new cases.
The Province confirmed has confirmed 52 new COVID-19 related deaths over the weekend, bringing the total in Ontario to 7,567. Another 2,445 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 348,684.
The province completed 47,929 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,646 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 619 people in the ICU and 408 in the ICU on a ventilator. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 1,282 new cases in Toronto, 772 in Peel, 564 in York Region, 339 in Ottawa and 224 in Durham.
