We currently have 4,955 active cases of the virus in Ontario after the Province confirmed 625 new cases this morning and 457 recoveries.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 625 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 51,710.
The Province also confirmed 4 new COVID-19 related deaths today and the total sits at 2,848. Meanwhile another 457 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 43,907.
The province completed 35,753 tests yesterday. Over half of the new cases come from four regions in Toronto, Peel, Ottawa and York Region. 62% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40.
We currently have 150 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 35 are in the ICU. Right now we have 4,955 active cases of the virus in Ontario.
