The Province confirmed 700 new cases this morning. We currently have 4,564 active cases in the region with over half of them coming from four regions in Toronto, Peel, Ottawa and York.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 700 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 50,531.
The Province also confirmed 1 new COVID-19 related death today and the total sits at 2,840. Meanwhile another 331 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 43,127.
The province completed 41,865 tests yesterday. Over half of the new cases come from four regions with 344 new cases in Toronto, 104 in Peel, 89 in Ottawa and 56 in York Region. 60% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40.
We currently have 128 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 29 are in the ICU. Right now we have 4,564 active cases of the virus in Ontario.
