For the 5th day in a row the Province of Ontario is confirming under 100 new cases of COVID-19. The amount of people in the hospital with the virus continues to drop and the Province reported no new deaths today.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 88 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 39,897.
The Province did not report any new COVID-19 related deaths today and the total number of deaths continues to sit at 2,783. Meanwhile another 118 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 36,024.
We currently have 66 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 28 are in the ICU with 12 people in the ICU on a ventilator. Right now the Province has 1,090 active cases and most of them are in Toronto, Peel, Ottawa, Southwestern Public Health Region and Windsor/Essex. The Province completed 25,136 tests yesterday.
