ONTARIO - Premier Doug Ford confirmed today the Province of Ontario will extend the discounted off peak hydro rates.
The temporary discounted rates were set to expire tomorrow. Ford didn't indicate how long the discounted rates will be extended, but he did confirm they will be.
During the Stay at Home Orders, the province has been giving a discounted off-peak rate of 8.5 centsperkilowatt-hou 24/7 for all time of use and tiered customers.
It will just show up on your next hydro bill, you will not need to apply for anything.
The off-peak price is automatically applied to bills of all residential, small business, and farm customers who pay regulated rates.
