After 3-and-a-half-years of waiting, there's justice for baby Alex today. The jury in the drunk driving trial of Bonita Purtill returned a guilty verdict on all 6-counts she faced. Purtill was at the wheel of a truck that crashed into a car being driven by the Fleming family, Thanksgiving 2008, killing 4-month-old Alexander Fleming, and injuring his mother, Mary Rodrigues. Mary and Mike Fleming were grasping hands tightly in the courtroom as the verdict came down, and waited to hear all six guilty verdicts. Afterwards, family members beamed smiles and nodded their heads in approval. Purtill remained stone-faced, showing no reaction or emotion during the verdict. Justice Kelly Gorman then ordered Purtill's bail be revoked, and placed her into custody. Family members stood and watched as Purtill was handcuffed and led out of court. She'll be back for a formal sentencing hearing on September 7th. Tune to Heart FM for further details and reaction from the court house.
