230 people participated in the Relay for Life Tillsonburg event in support of the Canadian Cancer Society
TILLSONBURG - 230 people participated in the Relay for Life Tillsonburg event in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
The runners raised nearly $98,000 will all of that money going towards Cancer Research. This year they swithced things up a bit and made it a daytime event which will run from 11 a.m to 11 p.m. Office Coordinator Pam Noels tells Heart FM everyone who came out for the Relay at the Annandale Public School had a great time. "It was a really fun day, it was a beautiful day out, had lot's of sun, very touching opening ceremonies and with a great honour to our past coordinator Steve Kyle who passed away this year."
The Canadian Cancer society has two more Relay for Life's happening in Oxford County this year with runs in Woodstock and Ingersoll. They will be at College Ave Secondary School from 6 p.m to midnight this Saturday June 13th and then in Ingersoll on the following Friday June 19th.
