The by-law states that you can be fined $125.00 for a disturbing noise and the by-law is in effect for all hours of the day. Police are asking everyone be respectful of your neighbours to keep the peace and prevent unnecessarily tying up of resources.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police responded to six loud party complaints last weekend.
They also dealt with noise complaints throughout the week for things like vehicles and music.
This weekend, police are reminding everyone in the City of Woodstock about the Noise Bylaw, that reads follows:
"City of Woodstock Municipal Code – Section 825 Article 3.1 - Did cause or permit a disturbing noise. There is NO curfew for the noise bylaw - meaning this bylaw is in effect at all hours of the day. $125.00 fine plus surcharge."
