Former Woodstock Police Chief Daryl Longworth will be sworn in as the North Bay Police Chief on March 25th.
NORTH BAY - A former Woodstock Police Chief is coming out of retirement to lead the North Bay Police Service.
It was announced yesterday that Daryl Longworth will be sworn in as the new North Bay Police Chief on March 25th.
Longworth became the Woodstock Police Chief in 2019 but announced his retirement plans in the spring of 2022.
In a press release, Longworth released the following statement:
"I’m excited to be here in North Bay, and I look forward to meeting and engaging with both the community and the members of the North Bay Police Service, to explore what is currently working and what opportunities exist for improvement."
Longworth started his policing career as an auxiliary officer in Woodstock back in 1988. He eventually became the Deputy Chief of the London Police Service, before he returned to Woodstock to become Chief in 2019.
