A travelling event is looking to promote reusing items.
MOUNT ELGIN - One man's trash is another man's treasure.
That's the goal of Reusapaloozaha, an event coming to Mount Elgin.
Organizer, Bryan Smith says it will help everyone.
"It's an opportunity for people to declutter and bring useful things that they think maybe they're done with but somebody else could use, to bring those and offer them up. And know that when they are doing that, that they've done a good deal for themselves and they've done a good deal for the community and their environment at the same time."
Smith says each event moves so it can help other parts of Oxford.
"It's different every time we do it because we do it in various locations. It travels around the county. It's not always in the same place. And we like to partner up with local organizations, and do something that will benefit them as well."
The travelling event would like to teach Oxford how to continue to use their items rather than throw them away.
Come drop off old, or pick up new items at the Mount Elgin Community Centre from 8am till 2pm.
