Cyclists will be taking over Woodstock and Oxford County this June for the Canadian Mental Health Associations Ride Don't Hide event.
The event will feature three rides through the community starting and finishing at the CMHA office in Woodstock on Peel Street.
Cyclists can choose between a 5 k, 15k and 50 km ride through community.
The idea behind the event is to raise money and awareness for mental health initiatives.
Executive Director of CMHA Oxford Mike McMahon says Ride Don't Hide is an opportunity to come together as a community and say mental health is important to me, and it is ok to talk about it.
28 communities across Canada will be taking part in the event and they are hoping to raise $1,000,000.
Locally McMahon says they have set a modest goal of 100 riders for the first ride on June 21st.
It does cost $35 to register and $30 if you register before April 30th at www.ridedonthide.com/on/ride/oxford-county.
