A star studded Maple Leafs alumni squad will do battle with the Oxford County Stars on March 5th.
WOODSTOCK - The rosters have been set Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni game in Woodstock.
Joining the headliner Darcy Tucker on the leafs squad is notables like Rick Vaive, Darryl Shannon and Mike Krushelnyski. The game is being played in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association and all of the funds raised will go towards supporting the organization.
The leafs alumni will take on a team of Oxford County all stars on March 5th at the Woodstock Community Complex. Rounding out the leafs roster are former players Pat Boutette, Lou Franceschetti, Todd Warriner, Peter Ihnacak and Mark Laforest.
"Together with partners Heart FM, and Scotiabank of Woodstock, the Canadian Mental Health Association will commit the energy and proceeds from this mid-winter event to further increase awareness about family and youth mental health. One in four Canadian youth will experience mental illness during their life and Oxford County families struggle daily with the challenges of mental illness, and the stigma that surrounds mental illness."
