Police are looking for three suspects after a scrap metal bin was stolen in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP are investigating after a large scrap metal bin was stolen from Gerdau Ameristeel Logistics in Tillsonburg.
Police say the bin was taken sometime between Thursday and Friday of last week from the yard of Marwood Metals on Spruce Street. An investigation into the theft shows that a Mack roll off style truck entered the property and loaded the recycling bin onto the truck. Police say a second SUV type of vehicle was stationed as a lookout during the heist. The roll off truck, SUV and a male suspect left the property heading southbound on Bell Mill Sideroad.
The bin is described as:
Blue in colour with “Gerdau” written in white letters on the side.
20 feet long, 8 feet wide, 5 feet in height.
Value of bin is approximately $5,500 - $6,500
The bin contained various scrap metal with an approximate value of $1,500 - $5,000.
